Alumni of The Galen Hooks Method (@thegalenhooksmethod) submitted creative treatments for mock VMA performances ahead of the 2020 VMAs which aired on August 30th. The competition resulted in three top submissions that were then brought to life with mentorship from award-winning dancer/choreographer Galen Hooks and dancer/actress Amanda Balen. The winning creative directors had a little less than a week to put together the guerrilla-style shoot and the results were impressive. Assisting Romonica Stephens as production coordinator on her treatment for Miley Cyrus’s “Midnight Sky”, we pulled all the elements together to execute her creative vision with an end result that would have made Miley proud.
